how can we prevent STDs?
- abstain from sexual contact,
- or have protected sex.
birth control.
methods of birth control include
1. male condom.
- a cap on the penis, to stop sperms and semen from flowing out.
- it can prevent STDs from spreading as well, and stops unwanted pregnancies.
2. diaphragm.
- it creates a seal against the walls of the vagina, to stop sperms from flowing beyond the vagina where fertilisation may take place.
- it can prevent STDs from spreading as well, and stops unwanted pregnancies.
3. birth control pills.
- it inhibits normal female fertility.
- it is easy to take, and not uncomfortable.
- but it may have other side effects after prolonged use.
4. female condom.
- to stop sperms from coming into contact with egg.
